| Attention! As part of the current capacity building strategy adopted by the World Customs Organization (WCO), we plan to hold a WCO Regional Accreditation Workshop for Expert Trainers on the Harmonized System (HS) from 16 to 20 April 2012, under the sponsorship of the Japanese Customs Cooperation Fund (CCF). This Workshop will be hosted by the WCO Regional Training Centre in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, and will be conducted in Russian.Workshop participants representing Customs administrations should be Customs officials with a high degree of competency in tariff classification and HS matters. They must be fluent in Russian and have basic knowledge of English. Experts who successfully complete the programme will be eligible to become WCO-accredited HS trainers and are therefore expected to be available to attend future training events in the Region as trainers/facilitators. Candidates for participation in the Workshop will be selected by the WCO Secretariat on the basis of the results of an on-line test that the candidates will be asked to complete, and telephone interviews with them. Once the nominations have been received by the Secretariat, candidates will be informed of the procedures to follow with regard to the tests (during the period from 29 February to 2 March) and the interviews (during the period from 5 to 9 March).
