| Center of Customs Activities and Post-Graduate Education The Center of Customs and Postgraduate education was established in December 2010 on the basis of the Institute postgraduate education. It is headed by director and his deputy controlling the organizational and methodological department, government (public) and customs service department, language training and improving department, merchandise and customs examination department, humanities and identification of cultural values department.The main purpose of the Center is necessity of improving the educational process at the advanced training courses, retraining for specialists of customs authorities, and teaching customs subjects to persons, dealing with customs authorities of Ukraine. The main work directions of the Center: • Retraining of customs authorities for obtaining new qualification on the basis of higher education according to the specialities “Jurisprudence” and “Management of Foreign Economic Activities”. The duration of the retraining is 3-4 years. • Education concerning public contract of training programme for taking master degree corresponding to the speciality “Civil Service” in the field “State administration” for full-time and correspondence department. The duration of education is 1-1,5 years. • Improving professional skills of executives and professional officers in the fields of professional activity for customs authorities of Ukraine. • Efficiency record of customs officers in foreign language, who face with the necessity to communicate with citizens of other states during discharging their duties. • Organization of advanced training courses for representatives of customs brokers. • Holding international, national and regional seminars for subjects of Foreign Economic Activities. For teaching in the Center involve senior staff of Academy, other higher educational establishments, customs, state administration and law enforcement authorities, who are developing courses, including customs specificity and using modern technical facilities as well as experts from USA, France, Germany, Russia, Great Britain, Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands with lectures about organization of customs affairs in foreign countries. |
